At Picture Postie, our purpose is to make turning special photo moments into high-quality photo products an efficient and enjoyable experience. We are equally committed to respecting your privacy.
Picture Postie is operated by Picture Postie Pty Ltd ACN 154 061 426, an Australian registered company.
This Privacy Policy explains how Picture Postie collects, uses, stores, discloses and protects personal information when you use the Picture Postie mobile application, website, ordering platform and related services.

Photos may be selected from your device camera roll or, where you choose to use the feature, from Google Photos.
3. Google Photos integration
Picture Postie allows customers to access Google Photos for the purpose of selecting images to create personalised photo products. Google Photos access is optional and user-initiated.
What Google user data we access:

When you tap the Google Photos icon and choose to connect to Google Photos, Picture Postie may access the Google Photos images you choose to select or import for use in Picture Postie products
We do not access:

your Google account password

your Gmail
-
your Google contacts
-
your Google Drive
-
your Google profile beyond what is necessary for the Google Photos authorisation process

your full Google Photos library unless you actively browse and select photos through the Google Photos access flow
Google login for Google Photos is separate from your Picture Postie account registration.
4. How we use Google Photos data
Photos selected from Google Photos are used only to provide the customer-facing Picture Postie functionality you have requested.
This means we use selected Google Photos images to:

allow you to create personalised photo products

prepare your selected images for printing

process and fulfil your order

assist with customer service, reprints or additional copies where required
We do not use Google Photos data for:

advertising

marketing profiling

unrelated analytics

selling data

sharing with unrelated third parties

artificial intelligence model training

machine learning model training

any purpose unrelated to creating, fulfilling or supporting your Picture Postie order
We do not use Google user data for any purpose other than providing the functionality described to you.
Picture Postie’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google states that apps using Google APIs must comply with this policy regardless of verification status.
5. Photo storage and retention

Photos are uploaded to Picture Postie servers only when required to create and fulfil your order.

Photo data is retained for up to 3 years, or until you delete your Picture Postie account, whichever occurs first.

We retain photo data for this period because many customers request reprints, replacement orders or additional copies of previous orders.

After this period, photo data is deleted unless we are legally required to retain limited information for business, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or legal compliance purposes.
6. Account deletion and data deletion

You may delete your Picture Postie account at any time through the Delete Account menu option in the Picture Postie app.

The Picture Postie app is our ordering platform and is separate from our static website.

When you delete your account, Picture Postie deletes associated personal information and photo content from our active systems, subject to any limited information we are legally or operationally required to retain, such as transaction records, fraud prevention records, tax records or records required to resolve disputes.

7. How we use your personal information

11. Information about other people in photos

Photos you upload may include other people.

Before uploading or ordering products using photos of other people, you should ensure you have the right to use those photos.

12. Photo metadata

Where metadata is included in an uploaded image, it may be transferred with the photo file.
